On Saturday we held our annual summer BBQ. The residents decided that all my money raised would go to the Make a Wish Foundation. It was a lovely summer day with perfect weather, and we had over 50 people in attendance.
Our Senior Care Assistant Emmy did an amazing job organising the event and received many raffle prizes which were donated by the community. She also organised all the games which all the children enjoyed, such as a bouncy castle, arts and craft area, pass the parcel and a visit from Peppa Pig and Donald Duck to name a few. There was plenty of food prepared by our Chef Nikki, and a BBQ where burgers and sausages were served. All of our guests and residents really enjoyed the events of the day.
We would like to thank everyone that visited us from Dementia Care Bexhill, which is the resource blog on dementia that we run.
Finally, we would like to thank everyone who attended the BBQ for being so generous. We were able to raise over £200 for charity during the event. I would also like to thank all of the staff that attended, and who worked extremely hard to put the event together.
